Clara Q Apartments are located on the southern side of Kew Junction between High Street and Denmark Street. Clara Q is a boutique apartment building consisting of 44 Residential Apartments constructed over 13 levels and comprising of three levels of car parking, Ground level retail tenancy, building services and associated amenities.
The building includes one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments as well as 12 penthouses, and a first rate design for energy efficiency.
Developed by XHJ Pty Ltd, the site required an environmental statement of audit to satisfy planning scheme provisions governing the site, and this was procured concurrent with design development and D&C contract tender and negotiations. Construction commenced in November 2012 and Practical Completion was achieved in September 2014, four months ahead of schedule.
Urban assisted the client throughout planning, design development and documentation phases of the project, and co-ordinated and negotiated the tender process and award of the design and construction contracts. As well as providing the client with a Principals Representative role and Superintendence of the works, Urban assisted with processes of title registration, appointment of owner’s corporation and building handover.
